Monica was raised in northern Indiana surrounded by her Amish relatives, which is likely where her propensity for simplicity and her focus on community was born. Her Anabaptist roots were fortified when she joined the Church of the Brethren as a teenager, deepening her love of service and compassion. It was in college where Monica met Deb Steiner, and a lifelong friendship in Christ began. In 2012 Monica and her daughter, Anna, traveled to Uganda with Deb on a mission trip. Among the many life-altering experiences she had on that trip, Monica came home with a renewed resolve to advocate for all God’s children, near and far. Monica lives on the salty coast of North Carolina with her husband of 19 years and her two beautiful children. She is a member of the Emerald Isle Baptist church and is involved in local ministries. Her passion is affirming needs and finding ways to meet those needs in local and sustaining ways. As she strives daily to draw nearer to God, Monica feels extremely blessed to be a part of the Pure & Faultless team.
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8
